This site is a tribute to Maureen Southern, a cherished wife, mother, grandma and colleague. As a nurse and manager, she worked in health and social care for nearly 50 years, and will undoubtedly have touched the lives of many thousands of patients, residents and carers during her long career. She will always be remembered for her compassion and empathy, her incredible work ethic, her sense of fun and her smartness - she was never knowingly underdressed.
Over the last few weeks, it has been very comforting for the family to hear from many of you about your memories of Maureen. Please feel free to use this page to recall some of your memories, and indeed add photos, if you would like to do so.
We ask that, in line with Maureen's wishes, anyone considering flowers at the funeral should instead consider making a donation in her memory to NSPCC, as children's charities were very important to her. It is possible to make donations through this website.
We shall always remember our shared joy when joining Maureen and Gaeran at the RVI on the evening of Albert's birth. Our love to all the family.
Dear Maureen, sending love to you while you continue your Journey, Chris and Susie
