Maureen gave a lot of her time helping others in her work. Her daughter and son are a testament to her motherhood.

I met Maureen when we both lived in Batt House, a nurses home in Bury St Edmunds. She was there for about 2 years. When I think of Maureen, I see her smile and hear her laughter. I remember when she and Garean started to "go out together" she asked me advice on how to cook a roast dinner. Her cooking skills very quickly surpassed mine. Despite living many miles from each other, our friendship continued in the same manner as it was in 1977. I will miss her.

I worked with Maureen for more than twelve years, she was perfect in her professional role as a manager. Whilst very strict she was also very approachable for any issues both about work and personal issues. In my stressful life she knew how to help and made things seem easy to sort. Maureen also helped strengthen my personality and progress with my work, she would guide me to make the right decision. I last heard from her in December, I will miss her and she will be forever in my thoughts. Sinimol from Brookview

Maureen was the first person to give me a job in the UK, she's always been a sort of inspiration to me. I have the best memories of Maureen, she will be missed but never forgotten. Maria Francisco

Such a short time working together, but the devotion and commitment Maureen demonstrated in that time was amazing, her work ethic was above all expectation and the way she touched some of the Residents hearts was beautiful. As we grew to know each other Maureen showed me a glimpse of her family and how much they meant to her, why she had re-located to be a bigger part of their lives not to mention and her humour when talking about her 'long suffering husband' when I reminded her that she needed to spend time with her family. Maureen is the epitome of a professional in word and deed, a real credit to her profession. "I wish I had got to know you longer".

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are. Speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
